Started the week by appearing on TV3 - Ireland Am with Orla and Eamon - talking about Keys to the Cage. To watch go to links.
Two weeks ago, at the West Cork Literary Festival, where I read from my book - with Irish Times journalist Brian O'Connell - interviewed Faye Weldon, and introduced Margaret Drabble, John Boyne, Tony Humphries and Brian Dillon. And taught journalism, and got a nasty 24 hour sick bug!
It was a week of talking books, writers etc with the best, and I loved it. But the high of the week, without question, was dinner with Margaret Drabble a Dame of the British Empire. It was amazing! We gossipped about authors- we discussed books- we exchanged anecdotes.
Congratulations to Denyse Woods for organising such an incredible event.
My first book, Keys to the Cage - How People Cope with Depression (New Island,) has been lauched and is now in all good Irish bookshops. See links to view or order the book (New Island site.)
